MENARD COUNTY CEMETERY MAINTENANCE DISTRICT

COMMENCING MONDAY, MARCH 9TH, 2009 CEMETERY PERSONNEL WILL

REMOVE ALL DECORATIONS INCLUDING
HANGING BASKETS


Patrons wishing to save any decorations are requested to pick them up prior to this date. New decorations should not be placed until after March 23rd, 2009.

REGISTRATION NOTICE
FOR THE APRIL 7, 2009
CONSOLIDATED ELECTION


Notice is hereby given that registration for the Consolidated Election on April 7, 2009 will close on Tuesday, March 10 2009 (With the exception of grace period registration beginning March 11, 2009, and ending March 24, 2009) in the office of the Logan County Clerk.

All persons who are or will be 18 on or before April 7, 2009, may register in person at the Logan County Clerk’s Office, Room 20, Logan County Courthouse, Lincoln, Illinois. You may also
register or change your address with your precinct committeeman, local library, or Driver’s License Facility when receiving services. It is necessary to provide two forms of identification when registering to vote. One form must contain your current address.

If you have moved from the address given on your voter registration card, you may transfer your address by telephone, mail, or in person at the office of the County Clerk. (Telephone number 732-4148 or Logan County Clerk, P.O. Box # 278, Room 20,Courthouse, Lincoln, Il. 62656)

If you were formerly registered in another county or state, you must re-register.
The last day to register to vote for the Consolidated Election is March 10, 2009.

Invitation to Bid

 

The Logan County Building and Grounds Committee is seeking bids for carpeting of the following areas in the Logan County Courthouse:

 

The Logan County Clerk's office, all areas

 

Third Floor Courtroom - inside the railing and the landing where the jury   

                                     chairs and the Judge's and Court Clerk's desks are 

                                     located

 

                                    - the court reporter's office

 

                                    - the Judicial secretary's office

 

                                    - the hallway behind the courtroom between the

                                      Court Reporter's office and the Judicial secretary's 

                                      office

 

                                   - the resident Circuit Judge's chambers, hallway area 

                                     and adjoining rooms

 

To view the area to be carpeted, contact the County Clerk at 732-4148 and the Circuit Judge's office at 732-7013 for an appointment.

 

Sealed bids will be received at the Logan County Clerk's office, Room 20, Second floor of the Logan County Courthouse, Lincoln, Illinois no later than 4:00 p.m. Monday March 2, 2009. All bids will be opened at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 3, 2009 at the Building and Grounds Committee meeting in the County Board Room, First Floor, Logan County Courthouse.

 

The successful bidder will be required to enter into written contract with Logan County and must provide proof of insurance. Sealed bids are to include square footage of bid, and price per foot of 26-28 oz. nylon carpeting recommended for commercial grade, labor, adhesive, metal and removal and destruction of old carpeting. Logan County is a tax-exempt governmental body.

 

The Logan County Board reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to wave irregularities therein. All bidders must agree that such rejection shall be without liability on the part of Logan County for any penalty brought by a bidder because of such rejections, nor shall the bidders seek any recourse of any  kind against the county due to any such rejections, and the filling of any bid in response to this invitation shall constitute an agreement of the bidders to these conditions.
