Dawn O'Brien

[June 03, 2009]  Dawn R. O'Brien, 43, of Lincoln, died Tuesday, June 2, 2009, at 6:35 p.m. at OSF St. Francis Hospital in Peoria.

Her graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Monday, June 8, at Irish Grove Cemetery, rural Middletown, with the Rev. Jame Hahs officiating.

There is no visitation.

Arrangements are by Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Lincoln.

Mrs. O'Brien was a housewife.

She was born June 20, 1965, in Lincoln to Clarence and Judy Lahr Munsch. She married Kevin O'Brien on Sept. 4, 2002, at Wappinger Falls, N.Y.

She is survived by her husband, of Lincoln; her mother, Judy (and Eddie) Hughes of Lincoln; her father, Clarence (and Janice) Munsch of Beason; two sisters, Carol (and Robert) Utterback of Mount Pulaski and Kristy (and Carl II) Awe of Lincoln; one stepsister, Patty Munsch of Normal; one brother, Brian Munsch of Decatur; one stepbrother, Russel Van Note of Latham; grandparents Wayne and Gertrude Munsch of Lincoln, William and Margaret Lahr of Lincoln, and Louise Hughes of Marshall; and five nieces and nephews, Christopher Munsch and Kevin Utterback of Mount Pulaski, Cameron and Cheyenne Munsch of Lincoln, and Elizabeth Awe of Lincoln.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Munsch; a grandmother, Juanita Hovey Munsch; a grandfather, Dallas Hughes; and two uncles, Ed and Robert Munsch.

Funeral Director

She was a member of the First Methodist Church of Mount Pulaski.

She was mentor and best friend to Cheyenne Munsch. They would watch movies together and laugh at each other's jokes, even if they were not funny. Dawn would help Cheyenne with her homework. She was Cheyenne's buddy.

Dawn was a wonderful person. She never said a mean thing about anyone. She always had a smile on her face and had a big heart. She would do anything for you if she could.

Memorials in her memory may be made to Cheyenne Munsch.
