Virginia M. Schmidt, 77, of Lincoln,
formerly of Chestnut, died Wednesday, June 3, 2009, at 6:33 p.m. at
her home.
Her funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader
Funeral Home in Lincoln. Visitation will be from 9 to 11 a.m. at the
funeral home.
Burial will be in Laenna Cemetery, Chestnut. |

Mrs.
Schmidt was a homemaker and helped her husband with
farming.
She was born March 13, 1932, in New Holland to
Glen and Leola Crawford Ewers. She married Harold G.
Schmidt on Nov. 21, 1954, in New Holland. He
preceded her in death on April 13, 2004.
She is survived by two nephews, John M. Ewers and
Dennis Kleen, and three nieces, Susan Legreco, Betty
Kleen and Karen Kleen.
She was the last of her immediate family and was
preceded in death by two sisters, Evelyn Kleen and
Cora Russo, and two brothers, John W. Ewers and
Robert Ewers.
She was a member of Chestnut United Methodist
Church. |
