ATLANTA -- Audra L. French Toth, 78, of
Atlanta, died Thursday, June 25, 2009, at 4:22 p.m. at BroMenn
Regional Medical Center in Normal.
A memorial service for Mrs. Toth will be at 7 p.m.
Monday at Eminence Christian Church, rural Atlanta,
with L.C. Sutton officiating. Visitation will be
from 6 p.m. until the service time at the church.
Private inurnment will be at a later date. |
Quiram-Peasley Funeral Home of Atlanta is in
charge of arrangements.
She retired from Eaton Corp. as an industrial
nurse in 1993 after 13 years of service.
Audra Laurel Hamilton was born on Feb. 20, 1931,
in Atlanta, the daughter of Virgil R. and Edna M.
Flora Hamilton. She married Delmar French on Nov.
29, 1946, in Waynesville. He preceded her in death.
She later married Joe Toth in May 1997.
She is survived by her husband, of Atlanta; one
daughter, Valerie Dubree of Lexington; one sister,
Phyllis Kozak of Atlanta; one brother, John (and
Linda) Hamilton of Onalaska, Wis.; one stepdaughter,
Jean Begolka of Lincoln; one stepson, Randall Toth
of Lincoln; one granddaughter, Morgan Dubree; six
stepgrandchildren, Sonja, Joe, Candice, Sara, Wyatt
and Riley; and two step-great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by her parents;
one daughter, Janice Rhoads; and one sister, Allison
Franz.
She was a member of Eminence Christian Church,
American Legion Auxiliary Post 341 and Women's Club.
She initiated the pompom squad at the Atlanta Grade
School in 1976. She was president of the PTA in
1975-1976.
She graduated from Atlanta High School in 1960
and from Mennonite School of Nursing in 1963 as a
registered nurse.
She enjoyed writing poems. One of her greatest loves
was Sammy Joe, her dog. |
Memorials may be made to the Eminence Christian
Church, Atlanta Rescue Squad or American Heart
Foundation.
