John Klemm

[June 29, 2009]  John Paul Klemm, 93, of Lincoln, died Saturday, June 27, 2009, at 2:25 p.m. at St. Clara's Manor.

His funeral will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Lincoln, with the Rev. Becky Barrow officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.

Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Waynesville.

Mr. Klemm was a retired general contractor.

He was born Dec. 2, 1915, in Waynesville to John and Cecil Smith Klemm. He married Wilma Moberly on Aug. 3, 1939, in Clinton. She preceded him in death on March 30, 2004.

He is survived by one son, Kenneth Klemm (and Judy Porchia) of Prescott, Ariz.; two daughters, Karen (and Ernie) Patton of Morton and Mary (and Joe) Bianco of Heyworth; six grandchildren and three stepgrandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

He was also preceded in death by two sisters.

He was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Lincoln.

He graduated from Waynesville Township High School in 1933.

He enjoyed fishing, playing cards and piloting airplanes.
