In his second game back from a hamstring injury, the Los Angeles Dodgers slugger connected Tuesday night during his first at-bat against the Seattle Mariners.
Ramirez, a designated hitter for the second consecutive game, drove a 1-1 fastball from Ryan Rowland-Smith over the left-field bullpen in the first night game at Camelback Ranch.
Ramirez was 0-for-3 in his first game back Monday against the Los Angeles Angels, taking two called third strikes and grounding into a double play.
He is now 2-for-5 in Cactus League play.
Dodgers manager Joe Torre said if Ramirez makes it through Tuesday night's game without any problems, he'll play the outfield Wednesday against the Milwaukee Brewers.
