Illean Billington

[April 27, 2009]  McLEAN -- Illean M. Billington, 89, of McLean, died Sunday, April 26, 2009, at 5:30 a.m. at Heritage Manor in Bloomington.

Cremation rites have been accorded.

Inurnment will be in McLean Cemetery, with a graveside service at 11 a.m. Friday. L.C. Sutton will officiate.

Arrangements are by Quiram-Peasley Funeral Home of Atlanta.

Mrs. Billington had worked as a dietary supervisor at Mennonite Hospital.

She was born May 1, 1919, in Atlanta, to Joseph S. and Lillie Butler Girdler. She married Howard Billington on Dec. 7, 1936. He preceded her in death on Nov. 23, 1969.

She is survived by three sons, Ray (and Ann) Billington of Armington, Gene Billington of Bloomington and Gordon (and Nancy) Billington of McLean; two daughters, Nancy (and Jim) Fuller of Broadwell and Pam (and Mike) Fuller of Atlanta; two sisters, Barbara Springsteen of Garden City, Kan., and Geraldine Long of Danvers; 22 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by one daughter, Clara Tabor; five brothers; and two sisters.

Funeral Director

She was a member of the McLean United Methodist Church.

Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association or Passages Hospice, 315 N. Prairie St., Bloomington, IL 61701.
