[May 01, 2009]  MOUNT PULASKI -- Kenneth V. Connolley, 85, of Mount Pulaski, died Thursday, April 30, 2009, at 8:20 p.m. at St. John's Hospital in Springfield.

Visitation will be 3-7 p.m. Sunday at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Mount Pulaski. A rosary service will follow at 7 p.m.

His funeral will be at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, with Father Thomas Shaw officiating.

Burial will be in Mount Pulaski Cemetery.

Mr. Connolley retired as a rural postal carrier and had worked many years as a clerk and as an assistant to the postmaster.

He was born July 12, 1923, in Lincoln to Eugene Kenneth and Mary Pearl Romer Connolley. He married Jeane Duff in Elkhart on Aug. 6, 1944.

He is survived by his wife, of Mount Pulaski; one son, Tom (and Julie) Connolley of Ocala, Fla.; three daughters, Susan (and Tom) Wagner of Heyworth, Jane (and Eddie) Pharis of Mount Pulaski and Ann (and John) Olson of Elkhart; one sister-in-law, Roberta Connolley of Lincoln; 10 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

Two brothers preceded him in death.

He was a member of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church.

Memorials may be made to St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, St. John's Hospice or Vonderlieth Living Center of Mount Pulaski.
