[May 16, 2009]  Carl Allee, 103, died Friday, May 15, 2009, at his home.

His funeral will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Peasley Funeral Home in Lincoln, with Pastor Jame Hahs officiating. Visitation will be for one hour prior to the service.

Burial will be in the Odd Fellows Cemetery in rural Benton at 11 a.m. Wednesday.

Mr. Allee retired from A.L. Randall & Co. He was a traveling salesman for floral supplies for 50 years.

He was born March 25, 1906, in Richmond, Ind., to Leslie and Bertha Petty Allee. He married Mary Dollins on Dec. 21, 1939, in Benton. She preceded him in death on Oct. 3, 1991.

He is survived by three nieces, Patricia Noe, Pam Minton and Gail Mallott; and two nephews, Judge J. Phil Gilbert and Larry Fields.

He was also preceded in death by one sister, Crystal Fields, and one nephew, George Roberts.

He was a lifetime member of Lincoln Elks Lodge 914.

The family thanks Eleanor Feldman and Mary Anderson for their care and devotion to Carl's well-being during the past several years.

Memorials may be made to the Logan County Department of Public Health.
