William 'Glen' Bradley

[May 16, 2009]  William Glendon "Glen" Bradley, 80, of Lincoln, died Friday, May 15, 2009, at 8:35 p.m. at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield.

His graveside service will be at 3 p.m. Monday at Walnut Hill Cemetery, Williamsville, with Tom Ewald officiating. Military rites will be conducted.

There is no visitation.

Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home is handling arrangements.

Mr. Bradley was the retired owner and operator of Bradley Auto Body and a retired stationary engineer for the state of Illinois.

He served in the Army National Guard during the Korean War.

He was born March 8, 1929, in Butler County, Ky., to Reggie and Attie Romans Bradley. He married Lela Theobald on March 10, 1951, in Lincoln.

He is survived by his wife, of Lincoln; two sons, Gregory (and Julia) Bradley of Lincoln and Warren (and Deanna) Bradley of Broadwell; one daughter, Glena (and Charles) Peterson of Broadwell; two sisters, Jean Royal of Hammond, Ind., and Ethel Mae Snodgrass of Paducah, Ky.; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Three brothers preceded him in death.

He was a member of Lincoln Church of Christ, American Legion Post 263, Lincoln Elks Lodge 914, Independent Order of Odd Fellows, a past Logan County Board member and a charter member of the U.S. Auto Club.

Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
