LJHS girls in basketball tournament at Athens

[November 02, 2009]  ATHENS -- The seventh- and eighth-grade girls basketball teams from Lincoln Junior High played Saturday in Athens. Here are the results:  

Seventh grade:

• Won 35-8 vs. Springfield Christian

• Makenzie Bright, 13 points

• Emmi Fisher, 7 points

• Won 37-19 vs. North Greene

• Natalie Oltmanns, 12 points

• Emmi Fisher, 10 points

• Makenzie Bright, 7 points

The seventh-grade team will play at 12:45 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 7, for the championship vs. Blessed Sacrament.

Eighth grade:

• Lost 22-32 vs. Springfield Christian

• Chelsea Franz, 8 points

• Alora Goodey, 4 points

• Won 34-20 vs. North Greene

• Alora Goodey, 8 points

• Chelsea Franz, 8 points

The eighth-grade team will play for the consolation championship on Saturday at 11:30 a.m.
