Visitation will be from 10 until 11 a.m. Thursday at
Peasley Funeral Home in Lincoln.
His graveside service will be at 11:30 a.m.
Thursday at New Union Cemetery, with Pastor Mark
Kaley officiating.
Mr. Warrick retired from farming in 1975. His
family had been among the first to settle in Logan
County in the early 1800s. They farmed close to Salt
Creek in Broadwell Township, outside of Lincoln.
He was born Dec. 25, 1910, on his family's farm
to Seth A. and Cora A. Buckles Warrick. He married
Leah "Katy" Miller in St. Louis, Mo., on Aug. 22,
1940. She preceded him in death on Nov. 20, 1997.
He is survived by two nieces, two nephews and
cousins.
He was the last of his immediate family.
He was a member of the First United Methodist
Church in Lincoln.
Willard was particularly fond of his collie and
was an avid fan of the Cubs, White Sox, Illini and
LCHS basketball.
He graduated from Lincoln High School in 1930 and
Lincoln Business College in 1932.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to
Carle Arbours in Savoy or the Carle Foundation.
