A memorial service for Mr. Barger will be at 4 p.m.
Thursday at Peasley Funeral Home in Lincoln, with
Dustin Fulton officiating. Thomas Earl Barger was
born Dec. 27, 1952, in Decatur, the son of Earl C.
and Hulda N. Johnson.
He is survived by his children, Robert L. Barger
of Delaware, Melissa Barger of Pennsylvania and
Rebecca "Becky" Barger of Oregon; his brothers,
Charles Opel of Maryland, Kenneth L. Barger of Blue
Mound, James A. Barger of Chestnut, Carl L. Barger
of Atlanta, and Scott Barger and Michael Barger,
both of Delaware; and 10 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and
grandparents Carl and Charlotte Workman, who raised
him.
He was of the Lutheran faith.
