Rachelle Babbs

[November 13, 2009]  Rachelle Kirston Babbs, 28, of Lincoln, died Thursday, Nov. 12, 2009, at 9:35 a.m. at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield.

Visitation will be from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Lincoln. Her funeral will be at 1 p.m. Monday at the funeral home, with Ron Otto and Pastor Jacob Skelton co-officiating

Burial will be in New Union Cemetery.

She was a baker in the cafeteria at Lincoln College.

She was born Dec. 7, 1980, in Lincoln to Robert and Rebecca Musselman Babbs Sr.

She is survived by her fiancée, Robert Bottoms of Lincoln; her parents, Robert (and Debbie) Babbs Sr. of Lincoln and Rebecca (and Anthony) Adams of Lincoln; one son, Claidyn Bottoms of Lincoln; two daughters, RaLynn Babbs and JozaLynn Babbs, both of Lincoln; two brothers, Robert Babbs Jr. (and Amber Wilson) of Emden and Darrin Babbs II (and Tabitha Faye) of Lincoln; two sisters, RaJean (and Mark) Hoffman of Lincoln and Sarah Adams of Lincoln; grandparents Martha and Erwin Leistner, James Babbs, Sarah Adams, Vivian Shanle, and Windell and Linda Milner; two nieces, Korynn and Alyssa Hoffman; one nephew, Eric Hoffman; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

She was preceded in death by grandfathers Jack Musselman and James Adams; great-grandparents Don and Agnes Eckert, Art and Maudie Tracy, and Nellie Presswood; and uncles Darrin Babbs and Bill Merreighn.

Funeral Director

She was a member of Lincoln Christian Church and worked in the nursery at the church.

She had a host of friends and extended family.

Memorials may be given to the family for the children's education fund.
