[November 21, 2009]  MOLINE -- With their sixth win in seven games, Lynx coach Kirk Whiteman was pleased with another solid performance.

"We played a very good, well-coached team on the road tonight and got a great win. This was a close game through the entire contest, and Lincoln was able to go in at halftime with a 35-33 lead.

"Again, we found ourselves down by a couple baskets at the five-minute mark. Our guards were able to create some pressure on defense that lead to some easy transition baskets.

"I was impressed that Brandon Orange put in 11 points, with an impressive tip-in dunk late in the game. We won this game with second-effort points from offensive rebounds down the stretch and some defensive pressure late in the game. We even saw the big guy, Chris Ware, dive on the floor. These little things win games!"

Kenyon Smith led all scorers with 20 points. Ware had 15 points and Kyler Works added 11.

Lincoln will play their next game at Lake Land in Mattoon on Tuesday.
