Red Lions split at Manhattan

[November 23, 2009]  MANHATTAN, Kan. -- The Red Lions men's basketball team of Lincoln Christian University split a pair of games at Manhattan Christian College on Friday and Saturday. After winning the first game over the Crusaders of MCC 68-65, LCU dropped their Saturday game to the Ambassadors of Ozark Christian College 91-93. 

Against the Crusaders Jon Wallace scored 21 points and had 13 rebounds. Chris Lawson added 20 points, and Josiah Brock had nine points and four rebounds. LCU shot 42.4 percent from the field, making 25 of 59 shots.

In the Saturday game Wallace and Lawson were again the leaders. Wallace had 26 points and six rebounds, while Lawson had 24 points and three rebounds. Mac Ingmire contributed 14 points and Landan Callahan added 13. The Red Lions shot very well, making 30 of 54 attempts from the field for a 55.6 percentage, including 11 of 21 3-point attempts.

LCU will be at home Tuesday evening for a 7 o'clock contest against Central Christian College of the Bible.
