Her graveside service will be at 3 p.m. Saturday at
Hartsburg Union Cemetery, rural Hartsburg. No visitation is scheduled.
Peasley Funeral Home in Lincoln is in charge of
arrangements.
Mrs. Grimes retired from Abraham Lincoln Memorial
Hospital.
She was born Nov. 12, 1920, in Versailles to
James and Lula Mae Petri Burnett. She married Robert
C. Grimes on Sept. 8, 1959, in Jacksonville. He
preceded her in death in February 2005.
She is survived by her children, David Asher of
Florida, Donald Asher of Hartsburg, Katherine
Rademaker of Ohio, Ill., and Mary Jo James of
Washington state; one sister, Martha "Josie"
McWeathy of Beardstown; 12 grandchildren; and 13
great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by six brothers
and one sister.
Memorials may be made to Christian Village
Nursing Home.
