There will be no services. Mrs. Bennett requested to
be cremated. Holland Barry & Bennett Funeral Home
in Lincoln is handling her arrangements.
She was born Oct. 19, 1932, in Clinton to Bernie
and Faye Provin Davis. She married Joe W. Bennett on
Nov. 23, 1973, in Decatur.
She is survived by her husband, of Lincoln; two
daughters, Marlene E. (and husband Alan) John of
Lincoln and Linda M. Jones of Springfield; one son,
George T. Brown of Decatur; two granddaughters,
Nikki Edwards of Springfield and Amy John of
Lincoln; and one great-grandson, Austin Harris of
Springfield.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her
brothers, Harold and Virgil Davis.
She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.
She was entirely devoted to her family.
