Walter 'Butch' Craig

[October 06, 2009]  CLINTON -- Walter M. "Butch" Craig, 62, died Saturday, Oct. 3, 2009, at 9:20 a.m. at the family home in Clinton.

Friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m. today (Tuesday) at Calvert Funeral Home in Clinton.

His graveside service will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Atlanta Cemetery, Atlanta, with J. Kent Hickerson officiating. Everyone is invited to Ted's Garage after the service for food and fellowship.

Mr. Craig had been parts manager at Baum Chevrolet Buick Co. in Clinton. He retired in 2005 after 34 years with the company. He was an avid car man.

He was born July 29, 1947, in Grayson County, Ky., a son of Walter and Verbal D. Bishop Craig.

Surviving are his children, Ronald M. (and Ruth) Craig of Clinton, Teresa Craig of Newton, N.J., and John W. (and Rebecca) Craig of Clinton; one sister, Doris Bateson of Clearwater, Fla.; one brother, Raymond M. Craig of Clinton; and three grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Memorials may be made to the Walter "Butch" Craig Memorial Fund.
