GREENVIEW -- Terry Steinhour, 61, of
Greenview, died Wednesday, Oct. 7, 2009, at 7:28 p.m. in a farm
accident in Menard County, southwest of Middletown.
Visitation will be 2-4 p.m. Sunday at
Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Lincoln. |
His funeral will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Greenview
Christian Church. Dr. Stephen Kellough, chaplain of
Wheaton College, will officiate.
Burial will be in Irish Grove Cemetery.
Mr. Steinhour was a farmer in Irish Grove
Precinct, Menard County.
He was born Sept. 14, 1948, in Lincoln to Raymond
and Gladys Liesman Steinhour. He married Phyllis
Rinehart on June 23, 1973, in Delavan.
He is survived by his wife, of Greenview; his
mother, of Greenview; two sons, Michael Steinhour of
Lafayette, Ind., and Mark (and Christina) Steinhour
of Quantico, Va.; one brother, Wayne (and Sarah)
Steinhour of Mason, Mich.; and three grandchildren,
Caidence, Katlyn and Aiden Steinhour of Quantico,
Va.
He was preceded in death by his father. He was a member of Greenview
Christian Church and was very active in many
organizations. He
was a Farm Bureau director in Menard County, served
on the Rural Water Commission of Menard County and
served on the Middletown school board several years. |
He was beef superintendent at the Logan County Fair.
He was
president of the Middletown Bi-Centennial Commission,
president of Menard County Tourism Council and a
member of the Logan County Tourism Council.
Memorials may be made to the Middletown
Bi-Centennial Commission or Greenview Christian
Church.
