Hazel Werth

[October 27, 2009]  Hazel L. Werth, of Lincoln, died Sunday, Oct. 25, 2009, at Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital.

Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Tuesday at Holland Barry & Bennett Funeral Home in Lincoln. Her funeral will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with Ron Otto of Lincoln Christian Church officiating.

Burial will be in New Union Cemetery.

She was born at Cedar Creek, Neb., a daughter of Harry and Mabel Klein Baughman. She married Norman E. Werth. He preceded her in death on April 7, 1980.

She will be missed and lovingly remembered by her daughters, Carol Werth Haggerty (and her husband, Tom) of Columbus, Ohio, and Linda Werth Sullivan (and her husband, Sonny) of Lincoln; her son, Laurel E. "Fuzz" Werth of Lincoln; six grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren;  five great-great grandchildren; two brothers, Lloyd Baughman (and his wife, Libby) of Morton and Keith Baughman (and his wife, Delores) of Lincoln; and two sisters, June Phegley of East Peoria and Edith Johnson of Bettendorf, Iowa.

One brother and two sisters preceded her in death.

She was a thoughtful and generous woman and a loving mother and grandmother.

Funeral Directors

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the charity of the donor's choice and will be accepted at the funeral home.
