Frances Mason

[October 26, 2009]  Frances I. Mason, 87, of Lincoln, died Saturday, Oct. 24, 2009, at 10:40 a.m. at her home.

Visitation will be 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Mount Pulaski. Her funeral will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home in Mount Pulaski, with Bill Shanle officiating.

Burial will be in Steenbergen Cemetery, Mount Pulaski.

She was a homemaker and also cleaned homes for many people.

She was born Dec. 12, 1921, in Mount Pulaski Township to Christian Walter and Edith Sciota Copeland Erlenbush. She married James Mason on Aug. 5, 1942.

She is survived by one son, Roger (and Lana C.) Mason of Latham; two grandsons, Christopher and Shannon; three great-grandsons, Nate, Luke and Caleb; a sister-in-law, Juanita Erlenbush of Mount Pulaski; and two brothers-in-law, Glenn Mason of Mount Pulaski and William "Barney" Mason of Lincoln.

She was the last of her immediate family. Brothers and sisters preceding her in death were Viola Erlenbush, Helen Yokum, Gladys Dill, Alma Shanle, D. Walter Erlenbush, Loren Erlenbush, Marguerite Schleyhahn, Dallas Erlenbush, Mildred Wilham, Russell Erlenbush, infant brother Christian Junior Erlenbush and Denzel Erlenbush.
