Red Lions fall in NCCAA soccer tournament

[October 30, 2009]  The Red Lions of Lincoln Christian University were defeated by Grace Bible College 5-0 in the opening game of the National Christian College Division II regional tournament.

GBC had two goals by Kyle Hendricks and single goals by Casey Duke (on a penalty kick), Caleb Befus and Andrew Clark. Grace Bible goalie Joshua Rumenapp had 13 saves.

Red Lions goalie Matt Nanney recorded 14 saves as LCU finished its season 1-13.

Grace Bible will play against Moody Bible Institute, the No. 1 seed, at 3 p.m. Friday, following the game at 1 p.m. pitting No. 2 seed Northland International University against No. 3 seed Maranatha Baptist Bible College.
