[August 31, 2009]  DECATUR -- Keith Wayne Elliott, 48, of Decatur, died Saturday, Aug. 29, 2009, at 11:40 a.m. at his home.

His funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the New Beginnings Church of God, Decatur, with Pastor Mark Smith officiating. Visitation will be at the church from 9 to 10:30 a.m.

Burial will be in Steenbergen Cemetery, Mount Pulaski.

Mr. Elliott was an auto body repairman.

He was born Sept. 12, 1960, in Decatur.

He is survived by his mother, Audrey (and Robert) Black of Decatur; his father, David (and Peggy) Elliott of Macon; one son, Damon Elliot of Utah; one brother, Mark David Elliott of Decatur; one sister, Debbra Jean (and Dan) Crain of Decatur; three nephews; four nieces; two great-nephews; two great-nieces; three stepbrothers; and two stepsisters.

He was preceded by in death by his paternal grandparents and maternal grandfather.

He attended New Beginnings Church of God in Decatur.

He was an avid NASCAR fan and collected Hot Wheels cars.

He enjoyed spending time with his pet dog, Spike.
