Thomas Fedor

[September 04, 2009]  Thomas Joseph Fedor, 83, of Lincoln, died Friday, Sept. 4, 2009, at 2:23 a.m. at St. Clara's Manor.

Visitation will be from 9 to 10:45 a.m. Tuesday at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Lincoln. A prayer service at the funeral home will follow at 10:45.

His funeral will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Holy Family Church, with the Rev. Thomas Shaw and the Rev. John Pham co-officiating.

Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery.

Mr. Fedor worked at Cutler-Hammer for 13 years and as an engineer and tool and die maker in various shops in the area until he was 80 years old.

He was born Aug. 17, 1926, at Thayer to John and Anna Hudak Fedor. He married Louise Rupnik in Auburn on April 22, 1950.

He is survived by his wife, of Lincoln; six daughters, Patricia L. Fedor of Florida, Barbara Fedor of Mississippi, Mary Kay (and Gary) Lohrenz of Lincoln, Donna Harker of Lowell, Ind., Cynthia Fedor of Peoria and Christine (and Steven) Whiteman of Dubuque, Iowa; one brother, William (and Josephine) Fedor of Ohio; 13 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by four brothers, Albert, Joseph, John and Michael Fedor.

Funeral Director

He was a member of Holy Family Church, where he sang in the choir for a number of years. He was also a community choir member.

Tom loved spending time with his grandchildren, fishing, and he was an avid Cubs fan.

Memorials may be made to Carroll Catholic School in Lincoln.
