Linda Spaits

[September 14, 2009]  Linda S. Spaits, 66, of Lincoln, died Friday, Sept. 11, 2009, at 12:48 p.m. at her home.

Her graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Atlanta Cemetery, with the Rev. Mark Kaley officiating.

No visitation is scheduled.

Quiram-Peasley Funeral Home of Atlanta is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Spaits was a sales associate for Wal-Mart for 19 years.

Linda Sue Finfrock was born April 9, 1943, in Lincoln, the daughter of Charles Wayne and Maxine Annebelle Harnacke Finfrock. She married Marvin E. Spaits on Dec. 27, 1980, in Beason.

She is survived by her husband; her mother, Maxine A. Finfrock of Lincoln; one daughter, Cheryl (and James) Newman of Belleville; one son, Douglas Krause of Nebraska; and three grandchildren, Ryan Newman, Brittany Krause and Aaron Krause.

She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Lincoln and a life member of Beta Sigma Phi, Preceptor ETA chapter.

She was the Logan County Fair queen in 1960.

She graduated from the New Holland Community High School in 1961.

The family thanks Connie Parker and Memorial Home Services for the care that Linda was given during her illness.

To My Angel

Don't think of her as gone away,

Her journey's just begun.

Life holds so many facets, this earth is only one.

Just think of her as resting from the sorrows and tears in a place of warmth and comfort

Where there is no longer days or years.

Think how she must be wishing that we could know today how nothing but our sadness can really pass away and think of her living in the hearts of those she touched.

For nothing loved is ever lost and she was loved as much.
