Shirley Bruketa

[September 16, 2009]  Shirley M. Bruketa, 74, of Lincoln, died Tuesday, Sept. 15, 2009, at 7:28 p.m. at her home.

Her body will be cremated and a celebration of life service will be scheduled later.

Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Lincoln is handling arrangements.

Mrs. Bruketa was a homemaker.

She was born March 10, 1935, in Lincoln to Ernie and Lula Dugan Morrow. She married Stanley S. Bruketa on April 10, 1954, in Shelbyville.

She is survived by her husband; one son, Stanley Michael (and Cynthia) Bruketa of Dunlap; one daughter, Deborah (and Ed) Baunach of Lincoln; three granddaughters, Stacy (and Robby) Leonard, Abigail (and Brian) Ingram and Corie Bruketa; two grandsons, Casey and Kyle Bruketa; one great-granddaughter, Keagan Leonard; and a special niece, Sandy Barr of Atlanta.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Jim and Joe Morrow; and three sisters, Mary Jane Purviance, Eleanor Huffman and Norma Montrose. She was the last of her immediate family.

She was a member of Holy Family Church of Lincoln.

Funeral Director

She was a past president and 50-year member of American Legion Auxiliary Post 263.

Memorials may be made to Memorial Home Services Hospice.
