Agriculture futures trade lower on the CBOT

[September 22, 2009]    CHICAGO (AP) -- Agriculture futures were lower Monday on the Chicago Board of Trade.

Wheat for December delivery fell 1.25 cents to $4.56 a bushel, while December corn lost 2 cents to $3.16 a bushel and December oats edged down 1 cent to $2.12 a bushel. Soybeans for November delivery dropped 27.5 cents to $9.135 a bushel.

Meanwhile, beef and pork futures also fell on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

October live cattle lost 0.58 cent to 84.97 cents a pound; October feeder cattle slipped 0.3 cent to 96.72 cents a pound; October lean hogs fell 0.65 cent to 50.15 cents a pound; and February pork bellies slid 2 cents to 82.6 cents a pound.
