Lincoln Daily News
welcomes letters of appreciation, information and
opinion on matters pertaining to the community.
Controversial issues:
As a
community we need to be able to talk openly about
matters that affect the quality of our lives. The
most effective and least offensive manner to get
your point across is to stick to the issue
and refrain from commenting on another person's
opinion. Letters that deviate from focusing on the
issue may be rejected or edited and marked as such.

Dear Editor: The Lincoln Public Library District would like to
thank Together for Lincoln for its renovation work on the historic
Carnegie building. The group repainted the original ornamental stair
rails in the front of the building as well as the emergency exit
rails and two bicycle racks. They are to be commended by our
community for their professional work and civic pride in Lincoln.
We invite the public to stop and view the ornamental rails; it is
the best they have looked since their installation in 1902.
Thank you, Together for Lincoln, for a job well done!
Richard Sumrall
Library director
