Katie's day at Wrigley Field

Katie Dobey is back at home at St. Clara's Manor after her Thursday trip to Wrigley Field. Katie's seat was right behind home plate, and she said the game was wonderful although the Cubbies dropped the contest to the Milwaukee Brewers 8-6. Katie's current Cub favorite, Derrek Lee, did hit a homer, and Katie couldn't stop talking about that.
Katie received an authentic Chicago Cubs jersey and an autographed 2010 Cubs team baseball as well as several other souvenirs of her visit. She said it was a thrill when Pat Hughes and Ron Santo said hello to her on WGN radio during the game.
Katie didn't get to go around the bases, as by the time she got there, there was a ceremony going on for Jackie Robinson in honor of the anniversary of Robinson breaking the color barrier in major league baseball.
Katie said she didn't mind. "He was a really good ballplayer, you know."

Katie's story is one of our most popular stories we have had the pleasure to publish. In case you missed it, click here.
