Accidents

Driver rear-ends parked trailer

Accident occurred at 6:50 p.m. in the 1400 block of Delavan, 159 feet west of Junction.

  • Nodine, India R., 23-year-old female, of Lincoln; 2007 Pontiac G5

  • Bradburn, Roger L., 52-year-old male, of Lincoln; 2010 Meb tandem

Nodine reported to police that she was westbound on Delavan when she rear-ended a trailer parked legally along the side of the road. The owner of trailer said he was not present and did not witness the incident.

Nodine was ticketed in the incident.

Hit-and-run on the curve at Keokuk and Woodlawn

Accident occurred July 30 at 10:50 p.m. on Keokuk, 150 feet east of Union.

  • Unknown vehicle described below

  • Hines, Brian K., 30-year-old male, of Lincoln; 1997 GMC small pickup

Hines told police that he was eastbound on Keokuk in the outside lane when an unknown vehicle driving eastbound in the inside lane moved into his lane and sideswiped his vehicle.

Hines reported the vehicle as white, possibly a Chevrolet Malibu or an Impala with tinted windows. Hines last saw the vehicle heading north on Ottawa.

Collision at the intersection of North Chicago and Tremont streets

Accident occurred at 6:21 p.m. on Aug. 3.

  • Hewerdine, Craig Richard, 39-year-old male, of Bloomington; 2000 Ford Explorer

  • Josserand, Juanita L., 71-year-old female, of Lincoln; 2009 Dodge Avenger

Hewerdine was northbound on Chicago Street. He said that he came to a full stop in the intersection. Josserand was westbound on Tremont and had the right of way.

Hewerdine left the stop and entered into the intersection, where he collided with Josserand. He was ticketed in the incident.
