Accidents Culprit leaves on three wheels
Accident occurred at 9:31 p.m. Aug. 1 on Pulaski Street near
South Ladue.

Lincoln, 1992 Ford Econoline van owned by Sign Design
Amerson and Hickey were properly parked on Pulaski Street facing
east. A witness to the accident said that Gehlbach was traveling
east on Pulaski and hit both vehicles, knocking the passenger-side
front wheel off his vehicle. He then proceeded east on three wheels
only. The witness offered the police an account of the incident and
a description of the vehicle.
Gehlbach was later arrested during a DUI stop. At that time he
refused to offer comment on the accident.
He was ticketed for driving too fast for conditions, failure to
reduce speed to avoid an accident and leaving the scene of an
accident.
Accident on South 11th near North Jefferson
Incident occurred at 11:59 p.m. Aug. 6.
Perry reported that his vehicle was properly parked on the north
side of Short 11th Street near the intersection at North Jefferson.
Sometime between the evening hours of Aug. 6 and the early morning
hours of Aug. 7 an unknown vehicle struck the Perry vehicle and left
the scene of the accident.

Incident occurred at 10:04 p.m. Aug. 7.

Ingram, Amy L., 45-year-old female,
Broadwell; 2001 GMC
Ingram's vehicle was legally parked, unoccupied, when Monday, who
was parked beside her, attempted to back out of a parking space,
turned the wheel too short and struck the Ingram vehicle.
Accident in the 1000 block of South Madison
Incident occurred at 11:20 a.m. Aug. 7.

31-year-old male, Lincoln; 2005 Chevrolet Silverado Extended Cab

Follis, Duane C., 74-year-old male,
Lincoln; 1994 Chevrolet pickup
The vehicle owned by Follis was legally parked on the west side
of Madison. Bradburn was backing out of a private driveway on the
east side of the street, crossed the full width of the street and
struck the Follis vehicle.
Bradburn was ticketed for improper backing.
Three vehicles involved in an incident on 21st at North College
Accident occurred at 12:16 a.m. on Aug. 8.

female, Lincoln; 2006 Cadillac Escalade
The vehicles belonging to Merreighn and Trussel were parked side
by side in off-street parking on the north side of 21st Street.
Shehorn was traveling north of College, reached the curve where
College goes into 21st Street and was unable to negotiate the turn.
He left the road, striking the vehicle belonging to Merreighn and
pushing it into the Trussel vehicle.
Shehorn then left the scene of the accident. He was located and
ticketed for driving too fast for conditions, failure to reduce
speed to avoid an accident and leaving the scene of an accident.

Lincoln City Police Department reports for Wednesday, Aug. 11

20-year-old male, of Lincoln, arrested Aug. 10 in the vicinity
of Seventh and Monroe on Class A charge of battery.

Shull, Amber R.,
19-year-old female, of Beason, arrested Aug. 10 in the vicinity
of Seventh and Monroe in Lincoln on Class A charge of battery.

Sparkman, DeAngelo
J., 32-year-old male, of Chicago, arrested Aug. 10 at Woodlawn
and College on Class A charge of driving with a license
suspended.

Taylor, Dionte D.,
24-year-old male, of Lincoln, arrested Aug. 10 at Woodlawn and
College on Class A charge of driving with a license revoked and
Class A charge of no valid driver's license. Vehicle was towed
from the scene.

White, Nathan J., 26-year-old male, of
Lincoln, arrested Aug. 10 on North Ottawa at Keokuk on two
warrants: one from Sangamon County for contempt of court and a
second from Logan County charging failure to appear on charges
of driving with a license suspended. Bonds were set at $3,000
and $5,000 respectively with 10 percent payable.

26-year-old male, of Lincoln, arrested Aug. 10 at the Logan
County Courthouse on a Logan County warrant for failure to
appear. Bond was set at $3,000, 10 percent.

Jones, Brandi N., 21-year-old female,
of Lincoln, arrested Aug. 10 at her residence on two warrants,
one from Logan County and one from Tazewell County, both
charging failure to appear on charges of driving with a license
suspended. Bond was set at $3,000 and $4,000 respectively with
10 percent payable.
