Ernesto Leon, owner of the Rio Grande Authentic Mexican Restaurant, cuts the ribbon on his expansion as chamber ambassadors wish him continued success. The restaurant had a grand opening just a year ago, and the expansion doubles the seating capacity of the popular eatery.

Railroad crossing closures come to Logan County

Train crossings are closed due to the track improvements being made for the coming high-speed rail system along the Chicago-St. Louis Amtrak route:

  • In Sherman: Wolf Creek closed until Dec. 3.

  • In Williamsville: Main Street open, Lester Road closed.

  • In Hurlbut Township: 450th Avenue closed, 600th Avenue closed.

  • Flaggers are posted throughout the south side of Williamsville (Sand Hill) through Elkhart (600th Street, Viper Coal Mine). They will move up to Oglesby Street in Elkhart on Dec. 3.
