Russell 'Rusty' Fleshman

[December 06, 2010]  LINCOLN -- Russell L. "Rusty" Fleshman, 69, of Brooksville, Fla., formerly of Lincoln, died Nov. 26, 2010, in Brooksville.

His graveside service will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 9, at Old Union Cemetery in Lincoln.

Family and friends are invited to the American Legion, 1740 Fifth St., after the service.

Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Lincoln is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Fleshman retired as a draftsman with Lockheed Martin at the NASA Space Center in Florida.

He served in the U.S. Navy from 1959 to 1963.

He was born Jan. 22, 1941, in Chicago.

He is survived by three brothers, Thomas (and Sally) of Lincoln, Robert (and Connie) of Lincoln and John (and JoAnne) of Harvard; several nieces and nephews; and a longtime friend, Don Bowles of Cocoa, Fla.

He was preceded in death by his father, James; his mother, Louise; two brothers, Richard E. and James D.; and one sister, Alice.

In lieu of flowers, the family would like memorials made to the Humane Society of Logan County, P.O. Box 404, Lincoln, IL 62656.
