Edwin Busch

[December 07, 2010]  LINCOLN -- Edwin L. Busch, 91, of Lincoln, died Thursday, Dec. 2, 2010, at 3:50 a.m. at The Christian Village.

Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Dec. 15 at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Lincoln.

A memorial service will be at 1 p.m. Dec. 16 at the First Presbyterian Church of Lincoln, with the Rev. Phillip Blackburn officiating.

Burial will be in Irish Grove Cemetery, Middletown.

Mr. Busch retired from Illico Independent Oil Co. in sales and marketing.

He served in the U.S. Army from 1943 to 1946.

He was born Dec. 3, 1918, in Pennsylvania Township, Ill. His parents were E.J. and Lucille Copper Busch. He married Rose A. Glenn on Nov. 19, 1941, in Middletown. She preceded him in death on Oct. 24, 2008.

He is survived by two sons, Rob Busch of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and Glenn (and Susan) Busch of Azle, Texas; and one granddaughter, Olivia Busch of New York, N.Y.

He was the last of his immediate family.

He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, Lincoln Masonic Lodge 210 and the Lincoln chapter of Forty & Eight.

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
