Norman 'Jack' Horn

[December 08, 2010]  MOUNT PULASKI -- Norman "Jack" Horn, 93, of Mount Pulaski, died Monday, Dec. 6, 2010, at 7:28 p.m. at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield.

A memorial service will be at 3 p.m. Saturday at Zion Lutheran Church in Mount Pulaski, with the Rev. Christopher Decker officiating. Visitation will be 2-3 p.m. at the church.

Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home of Mount Pulaski is handling arrangements.

Mr. Horn was a retired farmer.

He was born July 16, 1917, in Mount Pulaski. His parents were Reuben J. and Lydia Grathwohl Horn. His first wife was Hilma L. Wilham. He later married Betty Ann Rich.

He is survived by his wife, of Mount Pulaski; two daughters, Carol (and Paul) Turner of River Forest and Maryan (and Alan) Murphy of Chestnut; one son, Larry Horn of Mount Pulaski; three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; two nephews; and a niece.

Two brothers, John and Robert Horn, preceded him in death.

Funeral Director

He was a member of the Mount Pulaski Zion Lutheran Church.

Memorials may be made to Zion Lutheran School in Mount Pulaski or the donor's choice.
