From left, Lynnette Maske, Jo Richner and Phyllis Beccue hold their new books just signed by Lincoln historian and author Paul Beaver. The signing was at Saddie's Secret Place, the former Bertoni's Restaurant (1912-1980) in Mount Pulaski. The business is located on the site of the 1844-1901 Mount Pulaski House, which was the hotel where Abraham Lincoln, Judge David Davis, Samuel Treat and Stephen A. Douglas met, dined and slept during their visits to the Mount Pulaski Courthouse, which was one of 14 county seats (1848-1855).
