HARTSBURG -- Lois Sherwood, 82, of
Hartsburg, died Thursday, Feb. 18, 2010, at 7 a.m. at The Christian
Village in Lincoln. |

A private family graveside service will be at
Hartsburg Union Cemetery at a later date. Tim Searby
will officiate. Arrangements are by
Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Lincoln.
Mrs. Sherwood retired from state employment as a
medical records technician at Logan Correctional
Center. She was formerly employed at Lincoln
Developmental Center.
She was born July 21, 1927, at Mount Pulaski to
Lee D. and Lena Fuiten Stults. She married Paul
"Tiny" Sherwood on Aug. 18, 1956, in Hartsburg. He
preceded her in death on Sept. 14, 1983.
She is survived by two sons, Kent Sherwood of
Canton and Jeff (and Connie) Sherwood of Hartsburg,
and four grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by one sister,
Anne Hilgendorf. She was the last of her immediate
family.
She was a member of Prairieland Christian Church. |
She volunteered at The Oasis and Abraham Lincoln
Memorial Hospital.
Memorials may be made to Prairieland Christian
Church, Christian Village Nursing Home, The Oasis or
Hartsburg Rescue Squad.
