[February 27, 2010]  WATERTOWN, Wis. -- Timothy Solarek of Maranatha Baptist Bible College sank two clutch free throws with 12.7 seconds on the clock to hand the Red Lions men's basketball team of Lincoln Christian University a 65-62 defeat in the NCCAA Division II regional tournament Friday evening.

InsuranceAfter leading at the half 31-28, LCU, the No. 3 seed, was not able to hold off the No. 2-seeded host school in the second half as they evened the score at 62-62 with one minute to play in the game. After MBBC sank a free throw to take a 63-62 lead, the Red Lions were charged with an offensive foul, giving up the ball and being forced to foul Solarek, who made both from the charity stripe.

The Red Lions were led by Jon Wallace with 27 points and eight rebounds, Kevin Watson with 14 points and six rebounds, and Chris Lawson with nine points.

The Red Lions, who end their season play at 18-8, shot 44.6 percent from the field and 66.7 percent from the free-throw line but were outrebounded 37-34.
