[January 11, 2010]  SPRINGFIELD -- Ed Francis Roher, 70, of Springfield, formerly of Mount Pulaski, died Sunday, Jan. 10, 2010, at 11:22 p.m.

Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Thursday at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Mount Pulaski. His funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at the funeral home, with Mark Weber officiating.

Burial will be in Mount Pulaski Cemetery, Mount Pulaski.

Mr. Roher worked as a truck driver.

He was a U.S. Army veteran.

He was born Feb. 19, 1939, in Mount Pulaski to John Clancy and Marguerite I. Guffey Roher. He married Katherine Dumire in Gorman, Md., on Dec. 23, 1963.

He is survived by his wife, of Springfield; two daughters, Tina (and Paul) Koehne of Springfield and Mary (and Timothy) Knott of Springfield; one son, John (and Tina) Roher of Curran; one sister, Linda (and Wendell) Milner of Fancy Prairie; one brother, Lonnie Roher of Auburn; 10 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister.

He was of the Christian faith.
