Howard 'Skip' Skinner

[July 02, 2010]  MIDDLETOWN -- Howard Russell "Skip" Skinner, 86, of Middletown, died Friday, July 2, 2010, at The Christian Village in Lincoln.

His funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Holland Barry & Bennett Funeral Home in Lincoln. Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. at the funeral home.

Burial will be at Camp Butler National Cemetery, Riverton.

He was born June 20, 1924. He married Wynona Dove on July 9, 1992.

He is survived by his wife, of Middletown; one son, Mike Skinner of Oregon; one daughter, Patty Skinner of Oregon; one stepdaughter, Sandra Nelson of Middletown; one stepson, Dale (and Kay) Nelson of Mason City; six grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Russell.

He served in the U.S. Navy and received a Korean War Medal.

Memorial donations may be made to the organization of the donor's choice and will be accepted at the funeral home.
