Grains futures mixed, livestock prices mostly drop

[July 03, 2010]    CHICAGO (AP) -- Grains futures were mixed Friday on the Chicago Board of Trade.

Wheat for September delivery added 3.25 cents to $5.03 a bushel; September corn slipped 2.75 cents to $3.705 a bushel; November soybeans were flat at $9.055 a bushel; and September oats added 2.25 cents to $2.4925 a bushel.

Beef and pork futures traded mostly lower on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

August live cattle shed 0.10 cent to 89.85 cents a pound; August feeder cattle rose 0.50 cent to $1.1310 a pound; August lean hogs dropped 0.43 cent to 81.42 cents a pound; and July pork bellies slid 1.4 cents to 97.70 cents a pound.
