Glenda Simpson

[July 05, 2010]  LINCOLN -- Glenda Kay Simpson, 71, of Lincoln, died Saturday, July 3, 2010, at 1:39 p.m. in an auto accident south of Lincoln.

Her body will be cremated and a celebration of her life will be scheduled later.

Arrangements are by Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Lincoln.

Ms. Simpson was a caregiver and housekeeper.

She was born Nov. 16, 1938, in Lincoln. Her parents were Glenn Earl and Roberta M. Follis Perce. She married James D. Green on Oct. 3, 1955, in Clinton. They were divorced and then reunited 22 years ago.

She is survived by her companion, James Green of Lincoln; one son, Kevon Green of Lincoln; two daughters, Vicki (and Robert) Duvall of Lincoln and Brenda (and Vernon) Kiper of Lincoln; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

She was the last of her immediate family and was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Wanda Irwin.

She was a member of Fraternal Order of the Eagles Auxiliary 2708.

Memorials may be made to the Humane Society of Logan County building fund or the American Cancer Society.
