Clinton Felton

[July 24, 2010]  LINCOLN -- Clinton E. Felton, 79, of Lincoln, died Friday, July 23, 2010, at 4:05 a.m. at The Christian Village.

Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Monday at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Lincoln.

His funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. It was Clinton's wish that everyone dress casual for the funeral service.

Burial will be in Zion Cemetery, where military rites will be conducted by American Legion Post 263.

Mr. Felton retired from Saint-Gobain Containers after 44 years.

He served in the U.S. Navy from 1951 to 1957.

He was born April 13, 1931, in Marienville, Pa. His parents were Harvey and Violet Altman Felton. He married Gloria D. Weidhuner on July 5, 1957, at Lincoln Christian Church. She preceded him in death on Feb. 24, 2009, in Lincoln.

He is survived by two daughters, Vicki Felton of Springfield and Beverly Felton of Lincoln; one grandson, Zachary Rickord of Lincoln; one sister, Rita Grubb of Lincoln; and one grandchild.

He was also preceded in death by one son, Phillip Dean Felton, and two brothers.

He was a member of Jefferson Street Christian Church and a lifetime member of the Coalition of Citizens with Disabilities in Illinois.
