Eloise Park

[July 26, 2010]  LINCOLN -- Eloise Ann Park, 96, a longtime resident of Lincoln, died Saturday, July 24, 2010, at 4:55 a.m. at Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital.

Her funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Lincoln, with the Rev. Mark Kaley officiating. Visitation will be from noon until the service time at the funeral home.

Burial will be in Mount Pulaski Cemetery, Mount Pulaski.

Mrs. Park was a homemaker.

She was born Dec. 14, 1913, in Newtonville, Ind. Her parents were Lemuel and Dora Rae Schoolfield. She married Harold David Park on Feb. 27, 1941, and he preceded her in death in 1991.

She is survived by one son, Arthur M. Park of Lincoln; one daughter, Jane Park Kent (and Clifford) of Maryville, Tenn.; two grandsons, Clifford S. Kent III (and Billie Jo) of Jackson, Miss., and John B. Kent (and Lauren) of Clarksville, Tenn.; two great-granddaughters, Olivia Grace Kent and Parker Nicole Kent; a sister-in-law, Norma Muck (and Norman) of Lincoln; and special friends Joyce and Jim Pinney of Lincoln.

She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Lincoln.

She was active in many social and civic organizations, including Martha-Naomi Circle, Lincoln Woman's Club, Lincoln League of Woman Voters (charter member), Eastern Star, White Shrine, Daughters of the Nile and Laureate Chapter of Beta Sigma Phi (50-year member).
