Lois 'Eileen' Jones

[June 07, 2010]  LINCOLN -- Lois "Eileen" Jones, 86, of Lincoln, died Sunday, June 6, 2010, at 2:40 p.m. at Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital.

Her funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Lincoln, with Tim Searby officiating. Visitation will be from noon to 2 p.m. at the funeral home.

Burial will be in Zion Cemetery.

Mrs. Jones retired from CILCO, where she worked as an executive secretary.

She was born Feb. 9, 1924, in Logan County. Her parents were Roy L. and Ruth May Huser. She married Paul Leo Jones on July 15, 1944, at Fort Smith, Ark., and he preceded her in death on May 27, 2006.

She is survived by one son, Raymond "Huey" (and Cheryl) Jones of Atlanta; three grandchildren, Amy (and Todd) White of Clinton, Tad (and Kendall) Martin of Atlanta and Robin (and Joe) Cook of St. Louis, Mo.; and 10 great-grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by one brother, Roy L. Huser Jr.

She was a member of Lincoln Christian Church and American Legion Auxiliary Post 263.
