Accidents Driver ticketed for improper backing
Incident occurred June 9 at 9:36 a.m. on South McLean Street just
south of Broadway.

Georgette K., 28-year-old female, Lincoln; 1993 Cadillac DeVille

Kellenberger, John L., 53-year-old
male, Lincoln; 2006 Kia Spectra
Wambaya was attempting to back out of a parking space on South
McLean, turned the wheel too short and collided with the driver's
side of the vehicle owned by Kellenberger. Kellenberger said he was
not in the vehicle at the time but was walking toward his car and
witnessed the incident.
Wambaya was ticketed for improper backing.
Both drivers receive citations
Incident occurred on June 9 at 6:26 p.m. at the intersection of
South College and Sixth streets.

L., 23-year-old male, of Lincoln; 2002 Pontiac Grand Am GT1

Dukes, Shirelle V., 39-year-old female,
of Lincoln; 2001 Ford Windstar
Hofer was reported as traveling west on Sixth, approaching the
intersection, while Dukes was driving south on College. Hofer failed
to yield at the intersection and stuck the Dukes vehicle, causing
damage to the driver's side of the Windstar.
Hofer was ticketed for failure to yield the right of way, while
Dukes was ticketed for improper display of a vehicle license plate.
Lincoln Police Department reports for Friday, June 11
- McDonald, Owen O., 47-year-old male, of Springfield,
arrested June 11 on Lincoln Parkway just west of Union Street on
Class A charge of possession of cannabis 2.5 to 30 grams and
Class A charge of possession of drug paraphernalia. Vehicle was
towed from the scene.

H., 46-year-old male, of Springfield, arrested June 10 on the
northbound side of Interstate 55 at the 126 mile marker on Class
A charge of driving under the influence. Vehicle was towed from
the scene.

Johnson, Carol S.,
49-year-old female, of Lincoln, arrested on an unstated date on
the southbound side of Old Route 66 south of Salt Creek on a
Logan County warrant charging contempt of court. Bond was set at
$300 cash.
