[June 22, 2010]  NEW YORK (AP) -- Adobe Systems Inc. could report fiscal second-quarter results slightly above expectations Tuesday, said Pacific Crest analyst Chad Bartley in a note to investors.

HardwareThe company behind products such as Photoshop, Illustrator and Flash technology used for Web video and games launched its flagship Creative Suite 5 software package last month, and analysts say demand has been solid.

Bartley, who rates Adobe "Outperform," said in a note earlier this month he expects revenue in the range of $909 million to $929 million, and profit "at least in line" with Wall Street's estimates.

Analysts, on average, expect a profit of 42 cents per share, excluding items, on revenue of $905.9 million, according to a poll by Thomson Reuters.

Adobe's shares were down by about 10 percent year-to-date as of Monday.
