Dear Editor: I am sorry to say that I have not been to the races
here at Lincoln, but fully intend to do so this year.
Lincoln is very fortunate to have motor racing here, and it does
bring some much-needed revenue to our city. As other letters have
noted, the stores and area restaurants are busier with the increased
traffic that these races generate. So I for one welcome these racing
events and hope that Lincoln can become one of the busiest racing
venues on the Illinois circuit.
Motor racing is the fastest growing sport in America (according
to ESPN sports) and I am glad that Lincoln, Ill., has become an
outlet for this very popular sport.
