The Huskies (17-15) lost on Tuesday in the first round of the Big East tournament. During his postgame news conference, Calhoun denied a report that said he was he planning to retire. He also confirmed that there was a contract offer on the table from the school.
"I'm in the business of trying to recruit players to UConn," Calhoun said. "I love the school, and I still love coaching."
Calhoun has 822 wins, seventh in Division I. He is expected to announce this weekend whether the Huskies will accept an invitation to the NIT.
